D.C. filmmaker Jason Baustin differs from his area counterparts in one important regard: He’s not from around here. Jason moved to the D.C. area from Atlanta, Georgia to study Film and Digital Media at American University after some friends had told him about the program. After graduating, he decided to stay in the D.C. area to make films rather than opting for the oft chosen destinations of New York and Los Angeles.
